Ronald Bruce
Marsh
d. Dec 29, 2020
Kittery-Ronald Bruce Marsh died peacefully on December 29, 2020 with his daughters by his side. Better known as Fa and Grandfather by family and Captain Ron by the fishing community, he was born in Lackawanna NY to Chester and Ellen Marsh. He moved to Maine after his tour in the Marines brought him to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where he served as a guard at the naval prison. He first worked for the electric company, then became an HVAC technician for Callahan Oil before his passion for fishing and the ocean took over and he became a full time fisherman on his boats the Jean-Marie, Widowmaker, and his favorite the Dawn Gale. He enjoyed hunting and was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Eliot.
With striking blue eyes, he had a huge heart and was always there for family and friends in need and a total marshmallow when it came to his grandkids.
Ron was predeceased by the love of his life, Elinore Hodgon Marsh and his brother Randy. Ron and Elinore loved their home of over 30 years on the Piscataqua River in Kittery where they spent countless hours working in their gardens, building traps and painting buoys.
Ron will be greatly missed by his daughters and son-in-laws; Alicia & David Cuttle of Kittery, Pam & Gary Fuller of South Berwick, Kimberly & Paul St. Cyr of Rochester, NH his step children John Chick of Greenland and Sherri Labrie of Rochester and his grandchildren Tom and Kayla Fuller, Jay and Katie Cuttle and Savannah Brown.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a private service and graveside burial family and friends are invited to join them in viewing Ron's service online at https://my.gather.app/remember/ronald-marsh and by sharing your dockside stories of him by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com .
