Rosalie E Greenier, 84, of Eliot, ME passed away surrounded by her loving Family on December, 11th 2022. She was born on October 9, 1938 in Canton, ME, daughter of the late Herbert Merrill and Retha (LaPlante) Merrill Alcott. She was happily married for 63 years to William Greenier Sr. Together they raised their Seven children in Kittery, ME. Rosalie had her hand in many creative areas, gardening, watercolor & oil painting, stained glass, Dichroic & beaded Jewelry and making crafts of many kinds. These gifts she also imparted to her many children. She made birthdays special for her children with goofy cakes and planned many family vacations. Rosalie worked many years as a soldering Tech for Data General also as a child care provider and finally caring for the elderly. She and her husband William took many memorable vacations together. Rosalie loved to wear her own created jewelry and in her last year's gave much of it away to people in need. Her generosity brought smiles and happiness to many people. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her brother George Merrill & her son Michael Greenier. She is survived by her loving husband William Greenier Sr. loving Children, son, Thomas Greenier & wife Sarah, Paul Greenier, Paula Bonneau & husband Peter, Laurie Riley & husband Dan, Bill Greenier & wife Amy and Arlene Nebbia & husband David. Nine loving grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and Siblings Paul Alcott, Elmer Alcott, Arlene Hanson Alcott and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10am – 12pm followed by a service at 12pm at the Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery, ME. We are asking people who plan to attend to wear bright, flowery colorful clothes in honor of Rosalie.
Burial will be in the spring at Brooks Cemetery in Eliot, ME
