Ross F. Eslinger Jr, 82, of Kittery, Maine, passed away on October 1, 2023. He was born on September 24, 1941 at Portsmouth Hospital to Muriel (Perkins) and Ross Eslinger Sr.

A true family man, Ross dedicated himself to providing for his wife and three loving children.  His presence in any room was humble and calming, and his smile was just as infectious as the unmistakable laugh that will be remembered for generations to come.

After serving in the United States Navy, Ross's commitment to his country lasted for over 40 more years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard first as an outside machinist, then finishing his career using his expertise to assemble tool kits to support highly specialized jobs.

Ross is survived by his best friend and former wife, Nancy Eslinger of Kittery; son Ryan and his wife, Erica, of Jacksonville, FL; son James and his partner, Crystal Stevens, of Cape Neddick, ME; daughter Meghan and her husband Scott Batson, of Charleston, SC; and his grandchildren, Caroline, Logan, Madisyn, Liam, Lorelei, and Hailie.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Ross and Muriel (Perkins) Eslinger of Wells, ME.

A private graveside service for Ross's family will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 1pm at Ocean View Cemetery in Wells.

Following the service, his friends are invited to join family for food, drinks, and fond memories at a reception in his honor at The Blue Mermaid in Kittery from 3pm to 5pm.
