Ruth H. Evans of South Berwick, Maine passed away on March 13, 2023 surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

Born on July 27, 1936 she was the daughter of Franklin W. Harvey and Elinor Rand Harvey of Kittery, Maine.

She graduated from Robert W. Traip Academy in 1954 and Colby Sawyer College in 1957.  She was first employed by Portsmouth Hospital as a Medical Technologist and later worked at Path Lab, Inc. as Chief Technologist until her retirement in 1988.

In 1959, she married David M. Evans.  She leaves two children, Mark H. Evans and his wife, Greta, of Kittery Point, Maine, Susan Evans of Dover, NH and two grandchildren, Colleen Evans and her husband Rowan McFadden, and Sean Evans and his partner, Hannah Smith.

She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Warren A. Harvey and his wife, Mayme Lee Harvey of Hooksett, NH.

Ruth and David divided their later years between South Berwick and Sun City Center, Florida.

At Ruth's request, there will be no service.  Interment will be in the First Parish Church Cemetery in York, Maine at the convenience of the family.
