Wolfeboro- Sarah Silk, 74 of Wolfeboro died on December 4, 2024 in Boston following a sudden illness.
Born on January 31, 1950 she was a daughter of the late Robert Bennett Goss and Frances Lawrence Drake Goss. Raised in Rye, NH she attended local schools and graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1968, she then settled in Wolfeboro, NH to raise her daughter. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Women's Studies.
A dedicated community member, she served on many town boards including Board of Selectmen, Zoning Board of Appeals, Agricultural Commission, Conservation Commission, and Friends of Abenaki. Sarah served as the Site Coordinator for the Lakes Region Household Hazardous Product Facility as well as many other opportunities for service. Her dedication and commitment to her community was recently recognized when the Town Annual Report was dedicated to her efforts.
She was an avid quilter, making and gifting quilts for all occasions or just because.
Sarah worked for many years as a home health aide caring for Pat and Kirk Titus' daughter, Emily.
Sarah also enjoyed kayaking, reading, bluegrass festivals and gardening, as well as making Quilts of Valor for veterans and quilts for hospitalized children, and attending Ham Radio events with her partner Dale.
She is survived by her loving partner of twenty-five years Dale Smith, a daughter Tina Silk, twin sister Corinne Carignan and her partner Donald Webber, younger sister Marilyn Bolduc, a brother Joseph Goss and his wife Ellen. Nieces Traci St. Clair, Jennifer Drouin, Suzanne and Carol Munsey, Michelle Edmunds, Laura Canelas, and Jaime Goss, nephews Richard & Daniel St. Clair, a close cousin Cynthia Bogert, and sisters of her partner Dale; Merlene Fobes and Dolores Hagerty.
Sarah was predeceased by a sister Sandra Munsey, and a brother-in-law Donald Munsey, as well as her infant daughter, Tammy Goss.
All are invited to celebrate Sarah's life on March 29th at 2pm in the Wolfeboro Town Hall. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com.
