Kittery- Shanna Lori Pulkinen December 1, 1983 - February 23, 2015. After a long courageous battle with cancer, our precious daughter, sister, Mother & friend lost her battle on February 23, 2015 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital ICU. Shanna was a beautiful soul who loved her children, and all of her family and friends. She loved music, the ocean, mountains, animals and helping others any time she could. She had a heart of gold, and all that knew her loved her. She was a free spirit and lived her life from a place of authenticity of who she was. Her uniqueness is what we all loved about her. Her ability to make others feel loved and important was a gift that we will miss. Her journey here was short, but, she left us with beautiful memories. She will be in our hearts forever. Shanna is survived by her children, Jazmine Pulkinen, Kemuel Cushing and Jamee Cushing; Father, Arnold (Spyder) Pulkien of Eliot, Maine, Mother, Lori McKenney of South Berwick, Maine, Her siblings, Kristy Brennan and her husband Mike of Berwick, Maine, and her brother, Nicholas Pulkinen and his partner Heather Fielders of Rollinsford, NH. Her nieces, Arianna Pulkinen, Aubrey Brennan; and her nephews, Trevor Messier, Aden Messier, Jayce Pulkinen and Chandler Brennan. Also, many Aunts & Uncles and cousins that adored her. A Celebration of Shanna's life will be on Thursday, February 26 at 1pm at The Eliot Baptist Church, Eliot, Maine. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shanna Pulkinen Family Fund at TD Bank North will be greatly appreciated. This fund is set up to help deflect the cost of the funeral and for her children. Care for the Pulkinen family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
