Stephan Hale Emery, age 65, born April 7, 1957, passed away on March 21, 2023 after several 'rounds' of a fight with Frontal Temporal Dementia, at his home in Kittery with the assistance of Beacon Hospice.

Steve is survived by his daughter Jessica Lee Emery Smith and her husband Nate Smith, of Kittery, and sons Kristoffer Lloyd Emery of Barrington, NH, and Dustin Paul Emery of Hampton NH, and his best friends Steve Canty and Richard Perreault  . A brother, Robert Emery of Kittery and his wife Terri, and a sister, Marynan Rust.

Steve grew up in Kittery Point, working along side his father, Lloyd, in the family business, Emery Oil Company.  After the business was sold, Steve went on to run his own oil delivery and service co. Emery Heating.

He lived his childhood with many friends and family. He was passionate for the outdoors.  From hanging out at the 'Wharf' in Kittery Point, boating from shore to the Isles of Shoals and beyond, to spending summers at Molasses Pond, in Eastbrook, Maine.   He also had a passion for music and enjoyed going to concerts as well as a hobby for scuba diving.  He was a loving father and a fierce friend.

He obtained a black belt status from Pete Rose's School of Karate, and had achieved the ranking of world class lightweight kick-boxing champion and fought in the ring at Madison Square Garden.

There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of Steve Emery on May 6, 2023, from 12n-4p, at the Kittery Lions Club, 117 State Road, Kittery, Maine, 03904.
