Eliot -Steve departed peacefully on to his next journey on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Eliot, Maine with his family by his side. Steve was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. His family was his number one priority throughout his entire life. He had the brightest, most welcoming smile and the most beautiful shining blue eyes. All who knew him loved him instantly. Steve saw the good in everything and everyone. He was a caring and sweet man to all and a superhero to his wife, children and grandchildren. Steve was a hard worker and a lifelong New England Patriots fan. He loved the weather and anything to do with trucks. He will be remembered for his quick wit and unique sense of humor, which will continue to bring a smile to those who knew him and loved him.
Steve was born December 19, 1940 to Lawrence and Helen (Cullen) Perry of Watertown, MA. After graduating Watertown High School in 1958, he attended Boston University. He served in the US Army and National Guard. Steve was a self-employed truck driver for over 40 years. He maintained a beautiful, welcoming and loving home for his family in Ashland, MA and later in Fairborn, OH.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Elaine (Gleason) Perry, his daughter Wendy Perry, granddaughter, Brianna Klein and granddog, Lily of Eliot, ME, his daughter Deborah (Perry) Kefover and grandson, Tanner Kefover of Monongahela, PA, his daughter Lisa Perry and granddaughter, Cassandra Perry of Fairborn OH, his stepdaughter Lyn (Whitt) Rouzzo, her husband Michael Rouzzo and three grandsons, Drew, Connor and Hayden Esler of Maineville, Ohio, and his brother David Perry, wife Patricia and their two children, Michael and Katie Perry of Fort Worth, Texas.
Services will be private with a celebration of his life to occur in Eliot, Maine at a later date. All who are interested in attending may contact J.S Pelkey funeral home in Kittery, Maine.
