Obituary

Steven R. Robinson 64, of Eliot passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 4, 2023, with his loving son Christopher by his side. He was the son of Ralph and Patricia (Clow) Robinson of Eliot, ME. Steve was born in Portsmouth, NH on April 8, 1958 and was a lifelong resident of Eliot graduating with from Marshwood High School Class of 1976.

Steve spent his working career as a Eliot Public Works employee for forty three plus years and was Director of Public Works for the past 5 years. Steve was also a ten plus year member of the Eliot Fire Department. Steve also ran Steve's Auto Detailing business on the weekends with his son Christopher. Many people in the seacoast have had the benefit of having their cars detailed expertly by Steve.

When Steve was not working, he could be found doing projects in his garage where he just finished restoring his Jeep. He also enjoyed his time at camp on Raymond Pond behind the wheel of his boat taking family and friends tubing and water skiing. He and his wife Ellen enjoyed many years of vacationing in St. John. Their Granddaughter Alexis joined them to St. John a few years ago to share the experience of the island they loved so much. Steve cherished that trip.

Steve and Christopher shared a close bond as he was a single dad raising Chris until he and Ellen married in August of 1994. Steve and Ellen enjoyed twenty eight wonderful years of marriage.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Ellen, brother Bill, son Christopher and Granddaughter Alexis (Lexi) and his faithful companion black lab Rudy. He is also survived by his Aunt Helen Searles, many sisters and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was predeceased by his parents, his mother-in-law Bertha Faulkner, and his beloved chocolate lab Hersey.

A memorial service is planned for Wednesday March 15, 2023 at 4PM, at the Eliot Congregational Church, 1361 State Road, Eliot, ME. Online condolences may be left by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com . A celebration of life is planned for late Spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either.
