Teresa L.
Kennedy
Mar 20, 1949 — May 1, 2025
Kittery, Maine - Beloved wife, mother, and grammy, Teresa L. (Gould) Kennedy went to be with her Savior on May 1st, 2025. Terri was born to Charles and Phyllis Gould on March 20th, 1949 in New Brunswick, Canada. She, with her parents and younger brother Robbie, moved to Portsmouth in 1962. She was a 1967 graduate of Portsmouth High School.
Not long after graduation, she was set up on a blind date with a Marine stationed at the Naval Shipyard. A date that was a success from the start, they quickly fell in love and married in May of 1970. They were blessed with almost 55 years of marriage, complete with two children and five grandchildren who adored her and were adored in return. The sweetest and gentlest Grammy, she was an unapologetic spoiler of her grandchildren and lived for every moment spent with them.
Loving, patient, kind, and endlessly generous, she was the perfect hostess bent on making sure that no one would leave hungry. She was active in events at church and looked forward to services every Sunday, as well as her Bible Study on Thursdays - she was blessed with a beautiful family in Eliot Baptist Church.
Terri has been joyously reunited with her parents, her younger brother, and son-in-law Whitney Foster, as well as many other family and friends that went before her. She leaves behind her husband, David Kennedy of Kittery, Maine; son, Brandon and wife, Alicia Kennedy of Chelmsford, MA; daughter, Kristin Foster of Rutland, MA; and five grandchildren, Olivia Kennedy, Randie and husband Ian Mayer, Reagan, Aaron, and Hudson Foster.
Services will be held on Monday, May 12th at 12pm at Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine, with Pastor Joel Beers of Eliot Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be private. Care for the Kennedy family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home.
