Kittery, ME - Thelma Rietta (Plourde) Brewster passed away peacefully on May 10, 2021 in Kittery, ME. She was a longtime resident of Kittery, ME and also lived in Caribou and Portland, ME during her lifetime.  She was born on March 15, 1930 in St. John Plantation, ME, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Pearl (Keaton) Plourde.

She was predeceased by her husband Halden Brewster whom she was married to for 52 years prior to his death January 27, 2007. She was predeceased by her siblings Euclid Plourde, Greta (Plourde) Paul, and Eugene Plourde. Thelma is survived by three sisters-in-law, 14 nieces and nephews, several grandnieces and grandnephews, friends and her church community.

Thelma was employed by the Kittery Department of Education having worked in the Superintendent's Office over 25 years and also at a Portsmouth gravel/paving construction company for several years after that.

She and Halden were founding members of the Faith Baptist Church in Kittery, ME.

Services will be held for Thelma on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church, 22 Litchfield Rd, Kittery, ME. A viewing will be held from 10AM-11AM, followed by a church service starting at 11AM.

Care for the Brewster family has been entrusted to the J S Pelkey & Son Funeral Home.
