Theresa Marie Ames (ne: Figurski) joined her sailor and husband of 63 years, Theron Mason Ames, Sr., in heaven on November 11, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Sophia and Constantine Figurski, and her sisters Jeanne, Joyce and Barbara. Theresa is survived by her children Theron Jr., Pamela and Charles, her grandchildren Bethany, Sophia and Julia.  In addition, Theresa is survived by siblings, Connie, Teddy, Joe and Steve.  Theresa will also be missed by daughter in-laws Leilani and Toni Ann.

Theresa left her birthplace of Adena, Ohio, to become a Secretary for the Navy's Bureau of Medicine in Washington, DC, a career that eventually led her to retirement from Data General in Portsmouth, NH. Her devotion to her family during Theron Sr's 20 year Navy career proved both her metal and her patriotism.  After Theron Sr's retirement, it was hard not to find "Terri and Terry" together in their Eliot, Maine home.

Theresa loved the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots, and reveled in the exploits of Yaz, Havlicek and Bird. Her holiday Snickerdoodles and Apple Pies were simply the best.  She was 88, and already missed very much. Rest in peace.
