Dover - Theresa Germaine Sears 82, of Somersworth, died on Tuesday June 28 at Saint Ann's nursing home in Dover after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Theresa was born March 16, 1934, in Rochester. She was the daughter of John and Yvonne Kittridge, and was a lifelong resident of the local area. She was a graduate of Dover High School.
Theresa and Donald were married for 50 years and shared a home in Somersworth for their entire marriage, where they raised their four children. Theresa enjoyed cooking and was very good at it. She prepared home cooked meals for her family every night, traditional Sunday dinners every week at noon, and everyone was always welcome. Theresa also enjoyed music and dancing and would not tolerate anyone saying a disparaging word about her favorite, Elvis Presley.
Theresa is predeceased by her brother John Kittridge, sister Lorraine DeSaulniers, and her husband Donald Sears.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Burrill and her husband Scott of Somersworth, her sons Greg Sears of Dover, Eric Sears of Milton and his wife Wendy, and her daughter Jill Sears of Dover. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Matthew Sears, Kelsey Burrill, Stephanie Burrill, Hannah Sears, Wyatt Sears and Benjamin Sears.
Services: Calling hours will be Saturday, July 2, 2016, from 10a to 12n, at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South, Somersworth, NH, followed by a burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, 131 Central Ave., Dover, NH, at 1pm.
