Somersworth - Therese A. (Gagne) Donnelly, 84, of Somersworth passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Born August 1, 1930, in Somersworth, she was one of eight children born to Hermenegilde and Liliane Gagne. She attended St. Martin Academy and Commercial School. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Parish for several years. After raising her family in the Seacoast area, Therese returned to Somersworth in 1995. Therese worked for several years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a clerk typist. Therese was an avid reader and enjoyed a good game of Bingo. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially "her" NY Yankees and NY Giants. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and sharing in their successes. She was predeceased by her three brothers and four sisters. Therese is survived by her family - Elyse Donnelly Katsanos and her son Alex Katsanos; James Donnelly and Anne McArdle; William Donnelly, his wife Cyndi and their daughters, Rachel Donnelly, Jennifer Dickey, and Christine Donnelly; Kathleen McNair, her husband Scot and their children Daniel, Kevin, and Emily McNair; Mary Donnelly and Dane Kirkwood; and four great-grandchildren - Amayah, Aidan, Owen and Miles. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services: At Therese's request, there will be a private family viewing. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Holy Trinity Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 404 High Street, Somersworth.
