Dover - Therese Jeanne Hartford, 89, loving wife of Gerald Hartford, died on January 20, 2019, surrounded by her husband and family.

Born on November 5, 1929, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Pauline (Labrie) Martel.

She is survived by her husband, of 49 Gerald Hartford. She is also survived by a sister, Rita Chase of Dover; brothers, Robert and Yvonne Martel of Dover; Emile "Dick" Martel of Barrington; Richard Martel of Strafford; Bertrand and Louise Martel of Somersworth, as well as a brother-in-law, Gerard Lemieux of Dover, and a sister-in-law, Audrey Martel of Rochester.

Therese was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Lemieux, brothers, Wilfred Martel Jr., Raymond Martel, and Paul Martel. She was also predeceased by sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Katherine, Ruth, and Susan.

A graveside service will be held at St. Charles cemetery in the Spring.
