Kittery- Thomas M. Roots, 33 of Whipple Road in Kittery, died on May 8, 2022 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Born in Portsmouth on January 25, 1989 he was the son of Bob and Ann (Gerry) Roots. Tommy was raised in Kittery, attended local schools graduating from RW Traip Academy with the class of 2007. He furthered his education with a double degree from the University of Southern Maine in Finance and Marketing. He was an active member of the Traip sports family enjoying varsity soccer and baseball playing on the 2006 State Champion Soccer team.
He enjoyed music and all sports, especially time watching baseball with his dad at Portland Seadogs games. He and his beloved pooch "LuLu" spent many hours walking on the beach and hiking locally, and he spent a lot of time with his friends.
Tommy worked locally in retail at Van Heusen and Nautica and enjoyed his time at Carl's Meat Market.
He will be dearly missed by his loving parents; Bob and Ann Roots, his grandmothers Rose Beach and Jean Roots, many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends and supportive friend Jimmy Baxter.
Friends are invited to visit with his family on Saturday from 2-3 pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine where a memorial service will be celebrated at 3pm with the Rev. Linda Hirst officiating.
