Kittery- Toni J. (Casella) Leonard, 63 of Dover died suddenly on February 17, 2017at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Born in Portsmouth NH she was a daughter of Emilio and Priscilla (Kingsbury) Casella. She was raised in and attended local schools in Kittery where she graduated from R.W. Traip Academy with the class of 1972.
Following school she worked for the phone company and Service Federal Credit Union for a time and for Foye's Corner Market as a fixture there for many years. She was also employed most recently and retired from Liberty Mutual in Dover. For many years she was a part of the family, caring for the children of Scott and Jody Ferreira whom she adored.
She married her loving husband George Leonard and together they enjoyed extensive travel visiting many states in the US and Canada with their close friends and travel buddies Nancy and Ray Hamel.
Toni is survived by her husband George , father and step mother Emilio and Shirley Casella of North Hampton, son Dennis French and his wife Sasha Gendron and their children North and Winter French, sister Jill and her husband John Ferguson of Gifford, NH, brother Michael and his wife Denise Casella of Brighton, MA, sister Lina Graves and her husband Jay of Greenland, NH, sister Patty Watson and her husband Rob of Greenland, NH, stepbrother and his wife Ralph and Geri Stevens of Old Orchard Beach, a step son George Jr , sister in law Florence Thibodeaux of Berwick and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with Toni's family on Wednesday February 22, 2017 from 6-8 pm in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. Funneral services will be celebrated on Thursday February 23, 2017 at 10 am in the funeral home with the Rev. Brad Hirst officiating.
