Kittery, ME - Traian P. Lupu, 85, of Kittery, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH. He was born on May 29, 1930 in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, a son of the late George and Mary (Cerb) Lupu. Mr. Lupu served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was very proud of the 15 years he served his country. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. In his earlier years, Mr. Lupu was a Barber at the family barber shop in Newburyport Massachusetts. He was a man of many talents; enjoyed working with his hands and nothing ever stopped him from achieving his goals. His was predeceased by his brother, George and sister, Mary. Survivors include his wife, Alice J. (Sierak) Lupu of Kittery; two daughters, Karen M. Kamon of Kingston, NH and Cindy J. Priestley of Oregon; two grandchildren, Charles Kamon and his wife, Deanna of Brentwood, NH and Christen Kamon and her fiance', Zach of Meredith, NH; two greatgrandchildren, Dakota and Gavin; a sister, Florence Honeck and her husband, Bill of Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews. Services: A time of visitation will be held from 4-6PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. Raphael's Church, 6 Whipple Road, Kittery, Maine. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport, MA at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hyder Family Hospice House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820. Care for the Lupu family has been entrusted to the J.S.
