Vaughn Clinton Smith, 83, of Eliot, Maine, passed away on March 27, 2026. He was a graduate of Traip Academy and continued his studies at the University of NH. He leaves behind his wife, Victoria C. Smith, and three sons: Vaughn Smith, Jr. and his wife Laurie, Paul Holman and his wife Wendi, Christopher Holman and his wife Paige. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth Smith, and his sister, Cindy Shaw, and two grandchildren, Carrigan Gould and Jordan Smith. Vaughn served in the U.S. Navy, then he worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years, and then started his own business, RCI Electrical. He retired from the Shipyard in 2009. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of gardening, basketball, and Corvettes.
