ELIOT – Vera "Vee" Dame passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the age of 79, in North Berwick, Maine. She was born on February 3, 1941, the daughter of Arthur Boyd and Dorothy Dame, and grew up in Eliot.

Vee attended Eliot High School, Class of 1959. She then received business training in Portland, which prepared her to work at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Later, Vee worked in banking in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

She always enjoyed helping others. Operation Blessing was her joy and led to close friendships with Darlene McIntyre and Felicia Davila.

Family was a big part of her life. Vee is pre-deceased by her sister, Helen Sprague. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (wife Meredith) of Eliot, Maine; sister Virginia Wetzel of Scarborough, Maine; niece Cherie Sukeforth (and family) of Falmouth, Maine; niece Terri Wetzel of St. Louis, Missouri; niece Jennifer Stevens (and family) of Reno, Nevada; and nephew Russell Dame (wife Evgeniya) of Eliot, Maine.

Vee was much loved and will be dearly missed.
