Virginia "Jinny" J. Vaughan, age 92, of Greenland, NH passed away on March 18, 2025 following a period of failing health.

Jinny was born in Gorham, Maine, on December 7, 1932, to parents Ernest and Ramona Johnson. Jinny married Joseph J. Vaughan, and would go on to have two sons, Jeff and Greg. As an Air Force wife, Jinny and her family would travel the world, spending time in France, Germany, Texas and finally New Hampshire. After retirement they even found the time to travel, making it as far as Australia.

Jinny was a lover of the arts. Being an artist herself, and wanting to support the arts, she would go on to open an art gallery in Portsmouth. She had a passion for gardening and was a member of the Portsmouth Gardening Club.

Jinny is survived by her sons, Jeff and his wife, Linda of Greenland, NH, Greg and his wife Gina of Fairfax, VA; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Douglas Paul, and Stacy Freeman and her husband Joe; as well as three great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at J S Pelkey & Son Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, Maine, at 3PM, on April 24th, with a time of refreshment immediately following.
