Walter Franklin LaFortune, 88, of Kittery,Maine went to be with his Lord on August 13, 2023.

He leaves behind his daughter, Deborah LaFortune, his sister, Inez Turgeon, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Inez Hanson LaFortune, his wife, Doris Hughes LaFortune, a daughter, Ruthie La Fortune, and an older sister, Bertha Drown Amy.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Hyder Hospice Care for the loving care they gave Walter during his last days.

A graveside service will be held on September 20, at 1p, at the First Parish Cemetery in York, Me. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Hyder Hospice House; donations can be sent to, Friends of Hyder Family Hospice House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
