Berwick, M.E. – Wayne Maurice Tucker, 78, of Berwick ME, formerly of Spring Hill FL, passed away Sunday, June 30 ^th , 2019.

Wayne was born in Concord, NH, on February 1 ^st , 1941; the son of the late Maurice and Agnes Tucker.

He was raised and attended grades 1-8 in Catholic School and graduated from Penacook High School. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served for 29 years and retired as a Sergeant Major. During that time, he served in the Vietnam War. He was chairman for the "Toys for Tots" program in Tampa, FL for numerous years. He was always involved in his community and received many outstanding awards during his lifetime. He was a proud veteran and would always seek out other veterans to help them receive the care and assistance they needed and deserved. He grew up in the Catholic Faith and attended church regularly.

He dearly loved his wife Patricia, their dog Mitzie and family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all of them.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother Sheldon Tucker and grandson Matthew Brownell.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Tucker of Berwick, ME; son Wayne Jr. and his wife Julia Tucker of Tuscan, AZ; daughter Linda and her husband Kevin Johnson of Rainier, WA; stepsons Jeffrey Brownell of Berwick, ME and David Brownell of Dover, NH; stepdaughter Julie and her husband Gerry Bell of Spring Hill, FL and their three children Bob, Joe and Ben Bell ; Grandchildren Jillianne and Eric McHugh; Sheena, Marisha, Madison, Michael, David, Daniel and Jarrod Brownell; Hank and Daisy Tucker; Shayla, Soren and Lilly Johnson; and great grandsons Lucas McHugh, Landon and Sage Brownell.

SERVICES: A Mass of Catholic burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, 10:30 AM at St. Martins Church, 120 Maple St. Somersworth, N.H. Internment will follow directly after mass at N.H. State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy Boscawen, NH 03303.
