Eliot - On August 27, 2017, William G. Paterson of Eliot, ME, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Bill was born on February 2, 1941 to Gilbert and Minnie Paterson in Watertown, MA.

Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, always bragging to whoever would listen about his family of which he was so proud. Bill was always more than willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. After his retirement from Eastern Air Devices, he was an active York Hospital volunteer since 2004 with over 1500 volunteer hours delivering meals. He also volunteered for decades in the Kittery Elementary Schools.

Bill will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Jane L. Paterson, his daughters Donna Paterson Todd and Dennise Paterson FitzGerald and her husband Gregory G. FitzGerald, and his beloved grandchildren Michaela, Erica and Angela Todd and Cody and Keely FitzGerald. He also leaves his sister Joan Hulit, brother in laws Skip and Billy Larrabee and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, in appreciation of his years of devoted volunteer service, memorial gifts may be made in his honor to the "York Hospital Volunteer Program," c/o Carol Kane, York Hospital, 15 Hospital Drive, York, ME 03909.
