Somersworth - Yvette A. Daigle, 86, of Somersworth, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Ann Nursing Home in Dover after a brief illness. She was born in Somersworth, New Hampshire, a daughter of Ernest and Albina (Gagnon) Couture and was educated in Somersworth Schools. When her boys were in Cub Scouts, Yvette volunteered as den mother for the local Cub Scout Troop; she was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Martin Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Somersworth; charter member of the Catholic War Veterans; and a member of the Emblem Club of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Dover. Yvette was preceded in death by her husband, Valmore Daigle, a son, John E. Daigle; brothers, Raoul, Roland, and Richard Couture, and sisters Irene Picard and Theresa Beaudoin. Survivors include her sons, James Daigle and his wife, Denise of Rochester and William Daigle and his wife, Colette of Merrimack; four grandchildren, CPO John E. Daigle, USN, and his wife Ashley, Robert V. Daigle and his wife Danielle, Jenna M. Mellin and her husband Cameron, and Brad S. Daigle and his fiance Amy Clinghan; three great grandchildren, Averie, Jackson and Olivia; sister, Rita LaCourse; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, 11:00 AM at St. Martin Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth. There will be no visiting hours.
